2011-The Year of Great Expectancy
I must say that I am in awe in God's goodness upon this ministry.
2011 marks 20 years of ministry for Open Word Christian Ministries. To God be the glory for the great and wonderful things that he has done! He has been so very faithful to us over the last 20 years. I can't begin to explain what a joy it has been to lead this great body of believers. God gave me this vision over 20 years ago, and all we had was "faith" to step out on. As we stepped out, we stepped out shaking in our boots, but knew that if God called us, He would truly equip us to do the work that He called us to do. As the years have gone by, He has sent the right people, with the right giftings and the right anointing to help us do ministry in the South Fulton area and around the world. We have met challenges along the way, but our challenges have only made us better, wiser and stronger.
We have deemed 2011 as the year of GREAT EXPECTANCY. Webster describes great as huge; elaborate; remarkable in magnitude, degree or effectiveness; marked by enthusiasm. This year we are expecting to experience a great passion for the presence of God, a greater relationship with God, great growth in our ministries, great family relationships, great personal and business relationships, great financial freedom, great business relationships, great jobs and promotions, and great children who are walking in God's plan for their lives. We are gathering the troops and getting them ready to be dispatched to help us bring in this harvest of GREAT EXPECTANCY.
As long as people need to know about Jesus, there will always be a need to finance the Kingdom agenda. Will you join our troops as we continue to do local and global ministry? Your prayers and financial support have helped us be effective in so many ways over the past 20 years:

Established a School of Ministry
Out of the Box Youth Financial Literacy Program-empowering hundreds of youth in the area of financial literacy, locally and around the world.
Xcelling Youth Zone-at risk youth program serving over 1,000 youth to date in the area of tutoring, after school programs, basketball, football, and cheerleading, and over $60,000 in high-school scholarships to date.
Foundation Christian Academy-Established in 2007, and now serving children PreK-2 through 8th grades.
Established Healing Through Hope Domestic Violence Ministry-assisting women who are endangered by abusive partners
Storehouse Ministry-ministering to hundreds through food and clothing
Worldwide Outreach Ministry-partnering with missions in Bostwana, Africa, Bangalore, India, Tanzania, Africa, Cap Haitian, Haiti, and Jamaica

These are just a few things that God has done over the past 20 years. We don’t want to stop here, we want to continue to do "greater works." I pray that God is preparing your heart to help us make it a GREAT year. Please agree with us for a time of commitment that will demonstrate a GREAT (HUGE) level of faithfulness! As you purpose to join our troops, and sow into this vision, we agree with you that "God will make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you will always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient (possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation)" II Cor. 9:8 (AMP).
